| Full Member | 
- Hold a doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally accredited graduate or professional school that has achieved accreditation within the last five years of the doctoral degree (or a school of similar standing outside of the United States). 
 
- Employment as a manager or leadership role, academician whose focus is management, or consultant to management.
 
- Commit to the APA Code of Ethics.
 
  
- May vote and stand for office and serve as elected Officers or Members of the Board of Directors.

| Early Career Member | 
- Hold a doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally accredited graduate or professional school that has achieved accreditation within the last five years of the doctoral degree (or a school of similar standing outside of the United States).
 
- Employment of less than five years as a manager or leadership role, academician whose focus is management, or consultant to management. 
 OR 
- Provide attestation of career goal of leadership/management to be accomplished within five years. This attestation would include a  statement describing current career activities and how he/she is preparing to move into leadership/management or consultant to management.
 
- Commit to the APA Code of Ethics. 
 
  
- May vote and stand for office and serve as elected Officers or Members of the Board of Directors.

| Associate Members | 
- Hold a master's degree in psychology from a regionally accredited graduate or professional school or a school that achieved such accreditation within five years of the master’s degree (or a school of similar standing outside of the United States). 
 
- Be employed as a manager, academician whose focus is management, or consultant to management.
 
- Commit to the APA Code of Ethics.
 
  
- May vote and stand for office and serve as elected Officers or Members of the Board of Directors.

| Affiliate Members | 
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited University (or a University of similar standing outside of the United States). 
 
- Have an interest in the intersection of psychology in leadership and/or management.
 
- Commit to the APA Code of Ethics.
 
  
- May not vote or stand for office and serve as elected Officers or Members of the Board of Directors.

| Student Members | 
- Be enrolled in a psychology masters or doctoral program at a regionally accredited graduate or professional school that achieved such accreditation within five years of the master’s or doctoral degree (or a school of similar standing outside of the United States). 
 
- Have an interest in leadership, management and/or psychology.
 
- Commit to the APA Code of Ethics. 
 
  
- May not vote or stand for office and serve as elected Officers or Members of the Board of Directors.

SPL will also consider a reduction in membership fees based on unique circumstances and situations. If you would like to be considered for a reduction in membership fees, please provide your rationale and unique situation to Bradley Brummel, Membership Chair, for consideration by the SPL Membership Committee.
