The challenges of tomorrow cannot be solved with yesterday's tools. In a world defined by disruption, leaders must go beyond reacting - they must anticipate. Anticipatory leadership, grounded in psychology, equips leaders to see patterns, question assumptions, and prepare for emerging realities before crises unfold. This session highlights psychology's role in readiness, showing how consulting and organizational psychologists provide the tools and mindsets leaders need to navigate uncertainty. Drawing on performance psychology, participants will explore how the mind processes uncertainty, why biases cloud foresight, and how evidence-based strategies build resilience. Through case studies, scenario mapping, and reflective exercises, attendees will sharpen foresight, strengthen leadership, and practice strategies for four critical disruptors:

  • AI transformation
  • Climate adaptation
  • Demographic shifts
  • Social cohesion challenges

Participants will leave with a forward-focused mindset and practical readiness toolkit to lead with clarity, agility, and purpose in uncertain times.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define anticipatory leadership and its psychological foundations.
  2. Identify resilience-building strategies rooted in psychology.
  3. Recognize and challenge cognitive biases that limit foresight and decision making.
